The KAITEKI Institute consists of two main divisions: the Future Study Division and the Research Promotion Division.
The Future Study Division collects and analyzes a broad range of societal, market, and technical information from our global network and uses the data to anticipate paradigm shifts and to forecast future societal trends, needs, and challenges. Based on these forecasts, the division proposes business concepts to the Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Group and related research and technology themes to the Research Promotion Division.
Research Promotion DivisionThe Research Promotion Division selects from the research themes provided by the Future Study Division, identifies leading research groups from around the world with relevant expertise, and outsources the research function to one or more of these groups. The Division closely monitors the research progress and, based on the results, makes business proposals in concert with the Future Study Division.
