The verification study to grow vegetables with a sunlight type plant factory, which Mitsubishi Plastics Agri Dream Co., Ltd. (MPAD) and The KAITEKI Institute, Inc. (TKI) have been working on with the Victoria State government in Australia since 2013, has reached a new step with the completion of a commercial-scale production facility. KAITEKI Fresh Australia Pty Ltd., which was established as a local entity in Australia by Mitsubishi Plastics Inc. (MPI), held an opening ceremony for the new commercial production facility on July 15, 2015. Currently, vegetables grown at the plant factory facility are being test marketed, and commercial sales are planned to begin in the autumn.
